Director of Marketing

Description:

We are growing at an annual rate of more than 100% and are searching for a highly motivated Director of Marketing to help us drive and sustain this growth.

This position is responsible for strategic as well as tactical management and oversight of all marketing activities intended to support the acquisition and retention of new customer relationships, and development of new channel relationships.

In this role you will be responsible for marketing communications, brand-building, and public relations efforts. The ideal candidate for this role is passionate about selling online media and its vast potential to grow retailers’ sales through powerfully connecting them with consumers.

This position requires a track record as a marketing leader in the internet and online advertising world. This opportunity is based in Chicago, IL or Madison, WI.

Responsibilities:

The Director of Marketing will report to the CEO, and work with the VP Search, VP eBusiness, and Director of Sales to:

  • Develop the marketing strategy and the annual marketing plan
  • Build multiple company and product brands
  • Manage communications and messaging
  • Manage and deliver activities including advertising, trade shows, target audience marketing and PR
  • Manage analyst and media relations
  • Manage PR and design agencies
  • Manage and deliver a range of marketing websites
  • Manage and deliver sales & marketing collateral
  • Manage the marketing team
  • Develop and manage the annual marketing budget

Knowledge / Requirements

The successful Director of Marketing will be a leader with a track record in creating brands, and driving customer acquisition.

  • 7-10 years of marketing experience with 5+ years of experience as a Marketing Manager or Marketing Director in an internet or online company.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Must be a strategic thinker, with an ability to implement on strategy
  • Ability to manage and growing a team of marketing professionals
  • Working knowledge of Internet business models and a strong understanding of the search marketing industry
  • Experience in agency and vendor management
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Self-motivated team player who consistently strives to exceed goals.

Senior Sales Executive – GravityStreamTM

Your Role:
Be responsible for growing your assigned territory, identifying business, and closing opportunities with clients in the Internet Retailer Top 300. The ideal candidate for this role is well versed in selling solutions (search or online marketing ideally) into large organizations, and has the ability to grow retailers’ sales by powerfully connecting them with consumers.

Requires hands-on sales executive experience with a proven track record of success selling online advertising. Candidates must excel at presenting complex client proposals, managing the overall sales process, modeling client ROI and negotiating win-win deals. Excellent communication skills, a sense of urgency and a proven ability to cultivate client relationships is essential to this role.

This opportunity is based in Chicago, IL or Madison, WI.

Responsibilities:

  • Target prospects, nurture leads, develop, and close top sales prospects for Netconcepts’ GravityStream product
  • Drive revenue and new business through long term contracts
  • Grow GravityStream sales revenue and manage existing client accounts
  • Acquire new accounts, up-sell and renew existing accounts
  • Cultivate relationships with clients, gain deep insight into their business and provide effective solutions to their marketing and advertising goals
  • Generate a high volume of sales related activity including cold calling, presentations, proposals and RFPs, and lead nurturing activities

Required Skills:

  • A demonstrated leader with proven results in meeting and exceeding sales quotas and expectations
  • The ability to simultaneously manage prospects, clients, and new contracts is critical
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or related field
  • 6+ years of business experience, 2+ of which were directly related to online customer acquisition
  • Experience with Pay-for-Performance and optimization technologies in a direct marketing environment

Natural Search Strategist/Consultant

Description:

Netconcepts is seeking a Natural Search Strategist/Consultant to lead our natural search optimization initiatives with IR300 level US-based retail clients. As Natural Search Strategist/Consultant, you live and love natural search and online marketing – you’re in “your element” discussing and blogging about search engines, creative web optimization techniques based on experience, and reading geeky search patent applications and research papers. You play a central team role in diagnosing search-based business opportunities, as well as managing and presenting strategic and tactical optimization deliverables to key clients.

Responsibilities include:

  • Dissecting large dynamic websites for search engine visibility opportunity
  • Leading internal client-centric teams in developing natural search growth strategies and tactical recommendations
  • Guiding the implementation of strategies with media and development teams
  • Testing optimization strategies and tactics
  • Monitoring new developments in SEO and evaluating risk/reward models
  • Travel time expected (10% – 20%)

Knowledge and Skills required:

  • 3 - 5 years experience in e-commerce and/or search marketing
  • Ability to diagnose and communicate complex SEO issues ranging from technical issues to keyword and content issues to link building
  • Problem-resolution skills, including ability to think creatively in development of solutions that add value in a dynamic, client-centered environment
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication with colleagues and clients
  • Experience writing and editing professional or technical documentation
  • Managing multiple assignments that often include conflicting priorities
