Netconcepts President, Stephan Spencer says it is tempting for marketers to let search engine optimization slide to the bottom of the priority list but they need to be aware that an increasing number of customers rely on search engines to find information for them.

Mr Spencer believes that less than 10% of marketers consider search engines important to their business. His company has just completed research in conjunction with Marketing Magazine that reveals 69% of companies spend less than 10% of their marketing budget on SEO.
